Our Story

In the aftermath of the 2014 Ebola Crisis, Harry Kpoh, TRENAA's founder & CEO, travelled to Liberia to see his family. Harry hadn't seen any member of his family since migrating to the United States 15 years prior to escape civil war. During a family meeting, an elder told a story of how he lost his 9-month pregnant wife due to lack of basic healthcare and inaccessible road conditions. He explained, “I put my pregnant wife on a motor bike because no ambulance or car could travel to our village. Halfway through the journey, my wife became unconscious and eventually passed."

Upon returning to the U.S., Harry gathered a group of Liberian nationals and challenged them to give back to their homeland. That meeting gave birth to the Trembo National Association of America, Inc. (TRENAA). Today, TRENAA supplies healthcare centers with life-saving medical supplies, farmers with agricultural tools and crops, and remote villages with educational resources. TRENAA proudly delivers economic empowerment and food security to underserved and underprivileged peoples.
